DONORS THANKED The Southland Provincial Patriotic Council has received a letter from Mr G. A. Hayden, secretary of the National Patriotic Fund Board, asking the council to thank the donors of a gramophone, gramophone records and irons forwarded through the council to - the board for the use of New Zealand servicemen. Fifteen irons have already been forwarded and since then eight more have been received at the office of the council in response to the appeal made recently. Ordinary flat irons, electric irons and petrol irons are wanted.
