REPLY FROM THE KING

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, June 28. The Governor-General has received the following telegram from the King in reply to a message sent to his Majesty: “I sincerely thank you and the Government and peoples of New Zealand for the kind message you have addresed to me on my return from North Africa. It was a source of deep regret to me that I did not have an opportunity of seeing the New Zealand troops who have fought so magnificently in the recent campaign.”
