CHARGE OF THEFT A young married man, whose name was suppressed, appeared before Mr A. T. Newman, J.P., at a special sitting of the Gore Magistrate’s Court on Saturday night on a charge that on or about January 3, he stole 12 coils of netting wire, valued at £24, the property of Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd. He was remanded until July 13, bail being allowed at £lOO, with one surety of £lOO. PERSONAL.— The staff of the Gore Post Office recently met Sergeant K. G. Kelly and Corporal W. Welsh, who were on leave. In the absence of the postmaster. Mr P. W. Hunt made presentations to tire men on behalf of the staff.
