PATRIOTIC CONCERT AT OTAUTAU
The Invercargill R.S.A. concert party staged a most successful concert at Otautau on Monday evening. As the result of the entertainment and a drive made by the Otautau R.S.A. the patriotic funds will benefit by approximately £370. The members of the party were thanked by the chairman of the Otautau R.S.A. at the end of the concert.
The programme was as follows:—Community sing; dancing girls; "Sussex by the Sea,” Mr P. Linton Hodge and R.S.A. party; Miss D. Foothead (song); items by Mr Gilchrist and Jerry; Miss Prichard (elocutionary items); Mr C. Hawes (songs); Mr W. Holding (humour); sketch, "The River,” R.S.A. party; Mr A. W. Kummert (songs); items by Mr B. Hammonds; Mr J. Tinker (piano accordion); sketch, "The Hospital," R.S.A. party; dancing items by Mrs A. Melrose’s pupils; “Wish Me Luck,” by the company.
