THREE MONTHS FOR DRUNKENNESS

Patrick Finn, a labourer, 57 years of age, was sentenced in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday to three months’ imprisonment for drunkenness. It was his fourth conviction in six months. Senior-Sergeant W. T. Kelly said that Firm had ’’been on” methylated spirits for several weeks. His health had become impaired and he required supervision. Finn himself suggested that he should be “put away” for a term of imprisonment. Messrs G. H. Brown and M. Miller, J.Ps., were on the Bench.
