CRUISER TRINIDAD LOST

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, June 1. The Admiralty announces that the cruiser Trinidad has been sunk. The Trinidad, which was of 8000-tons, was completed in 1939. Her main armament consisted of 12 6-inch guns, mounted in triple turrets. She carried three aircraft, operating from one catapult. Captain L. S. Saunders, commanding the ship, is reported to be safe.
