TWO AIRMEN KILLED
COLLISION IN MID-AIR (P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 26. A collision in mid-air between two aircraft of the Royal New Zealand Air Force this morning resulted in the occupants of one machine, an instructor and a pupil pilot, losing their lives. The personnel involved were Flying Officer Robert William Douglas Cowper son of Mrs A. E. Cowper, Wanganui, who was the instructor, and Leading Aircraftman Derek Thomas Lippitt, son of Mr C. F. Lippitt, Wallaceville. The occupant of the other machine was uninjured.
