CRIPPLED CHILDREN SOCIETY

At the bi-monthly meeting of the general committee of the Southland branch of the Crippled Children Society a letter was received from the town clerk giving authority for a street appeal to be made on August 19. The hope was expressed that with good support from the country areas a sum would be raised sufficient to provide for the immediate needs of the 112 children now on the local register. Among the donations gratefully received was one of £5/5/- from, the Mayor’s Social Service Fund.
