COLLECTION OF RATES— Satisfaction with the excellent collection of rates before the imposition of the 10 per cent, penalty was expressed by members of tire City Council last night. The town clerk reported that the rates collected, including discount allowances, this year totalled £95,551, representing 93.45 per cent, of the levy, compared with £90,469 at the same period last year, which then represented 92.08 per cent, of the levy.
