BUILDING ACTIVITY IN CITY

During February permits were granted for two new dwellings of a total value of £4443/11/6, according to figures issued by the city engineer’s department. Alterations to dwellings amounted to. £674/12/-, nine permits being issued. Twelve permits for alterations to business premises were issued to the value of £1203/8/6. In January permits were issued for five new dwellings of a value of £5866, five alterations to dwellings’ of the value of £630 and six alterations to business premises of a value of £3950/10/-.
