HELP FOR STARVING GREEKS

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, February 25. The removal of a number of Greek children from Greece has been under consideration for some time, the Foreign Secretary, Mr Anthony Eden, stated in answering a question in the House of Commons. No further information, said Mr Eden, was at present available. Asked if something more could not be done for the starving parents of these children, Mr Eden said he had every sympathy for this problem, and if the arrangements for one shipment of wheat, already provided, proved successful, perhaps some further arrangements would be possible. He reminded members, however, that the reason for the state of affairs in Greece was entirely because the Germans refused to accept what was regarded as an international duty—that of taking care of the people of an occupied country.
