ATTENDANCES FALL AWAY
INVERCARGILL TEPID BATHS
Attendances at the Tepid Baths last month were considerably below the average for December. Adult single admissions were 500 fewer and children’s single admissions were 400 fewer compared with the figures for the corresponding month of 1940. The revenue for the month showed a decline of £27/10/- on the figure for December 1940 and was £37/10/- less than the average for the month of December. The Baths Committee in its report to the City Council last evening stated that the attendance of pupils from the Southland Boys’ High School last month was only 31 and it was decided that the town clerk communicate with the secretary of the High Schools Board expressing disappointment at the apparent lack of interest being shown by the pupils of the school in the use of the baths.
