VEHICLES FOR E.P.S. IN EMERGENCY

LIGHTING REGULATIONS

APPLY

No E.P.S. vehicle, is exempt from the requirements of the lighting restrictions to travel with masked parking lights if a period of emergency is set up after dark. A suitable headlight mask is being developed for a number of E.P.S. vehicles that might be required for essential and urgent work. Until a suitable headlight mask is approved selected E.P.S. vehicles may travel at night with two forward-facing unobscured parking lights and a tail light. The vehicles are to be equipped with distinguishing E.P.S. marks.
