WYNDHAM RED CROSS NOTES
The black mammy doll donated by Miss McLauchlan was competed for recently and realized the sum of £2 12/-. The name was Katherine and Miss Mary Stevenson was the winner. At the last committee meeting the president reported that the advanced dressing station was nearing completion, only a small amount of material still being required. It was decided to ask the Golf Club Committee for permission to store the first aid kit at the golf pavilion as this would be the most suitable place in case of emergency. Mrs Heydon reported on the display of work held recently by the Lady Galway Guild and said that a good proportion of the work on view had been sent in from the local branch. This clothing is still urgently needed and any donation will be thankfully received. Now is the time to send forward clothing suitable for the winter time. Old linen is also needed for hospital use. If anyone would care to knit gloves by a simple pattern the branch has the wool and instructions ready.
