NATIONAL SAVINGS INVESTMENTS
ADVANTAGES DESCRIBED
In investing in National Savings, citizens will appreciate the following advantages from a national viewpoint. (1) All investments must be used by the Government fol' war purposes. (2) Money is lent for a fixed period of five years by National Savings 3 per cent, bearer bonds and to June 30, 1945, in National Savings accounts. (3) The fixed term for National Savings accounts reduces the amount of ready cash which the Treasury must have available, to meet any unusual demands from time to time on the Post Office Savings Bank and the same applies to other banks.
