PRUNELLA CAKE Two eggs, -J cup butter, 1 cup sugar, 2-3rds cup sour milk, 1J cups flour, 2-3rds cup stewed prunes, i teaspoon each of baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and baking powder. Blend butter with sugar and eggs, add prunes (chopped), stir in milk and then sifted dry ingredients. Pour into sandwich tins and bake 20 minutes. Ice between and on top with creamy icing: Mix 2 cups sugar, | teaspoon cinnamon, good, pinch of salt. Combine half with 2 tablespoons of butter, add remaining sugar, 2 tablespoons prune juice and 1 tablespoon lemon juice; beat till creamy.
