FIVE MONTHS WITHOUT NEWS

The first news of her son since he was reported missing five months ago was received yesterday by Mrs J. L. McCormick, of 389 Tay street, Invercargill. Her son, Private J. E. O’Grady, was reported missing from Crete on June 22 and the lettercard she received from a prisoner of war transit camp in Crete was the first she had heard of him since then. The card was written on July 19, and has taken four months tv reach Invercargill. Private O’Grady stated that he was happy and well and could still raise a smile.
