CANCELLATION OF 164 NAMES

A Gazette notice cancelling the call-ing-up of men whose names wrongly appeared in recent overseas and territorial ballots was published yesterday. The Gazette notice gives the names of 164 men, nine of whom are from the No. 12 (Invercargill) military area. They are:—G. F. Beker, Halfmoon Bay (member 2nd Division), J. Bradford, Gore-Wendonside R.D. (2nd Division) ; R. W. Carson, Section 8, Glencoe (3rd Division); D. A. McManus, Milton (3rd Division); T. V. Mahoney, Invercargill (2nd Division); J. A. Nicholson, Te Tipua (2nd Division); A. J Parsons, Gore (2nd Division); I. R. Peacock, Winton (not a member of Classes B (1) or C, Ist Division); I. R. Polson, Dip-ton-Benmore R.D. (2nd Division).
