PUBLIC SERVICE GRADING

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, November 13,

The Government Service Grading Emergency Regulations, which were gazetted tonight, give the heads of departments which come under the control of the Public Service Commissioner and the Railways Department power to postpone grading, which at present must be made every five years. The new regulations state that this provision is to remain in force for the duration of the war, but the provision added that regrading must take place some time not later than two years after the termination of the present war.
