Rain Developing (Special) WELLINGTON, October 26. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— North-west to north winds gradually freshening. Weather fair at first but rain developing from the west. Temperatures rather milder. Further outlook unsettled.
The weather in Invercargill on Saturday was unsettled and there were frequent showers of rain. Yesterday the skies cleared and the weather was warm and sunny. The weather at one o’clock this morning was overcast and mild. There was no wind. The barometer reading was 29.78 in (steady).
