AGAINST POLITICAL ACTION
PALMERSTON NORTH R.S.A. (P.A.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Oct. 13. At a meeting of the Palmerston North executive of the Returned Soldiers’ Association a resolution was passed affirming loyalty to'the New Zealand R.S.A. in the basic principle of its constitution as a non-party political organization. Surprise and indignation were expressed that regardless of what the consensus of opinion of members throughout the Dominion might be, the executive of the Auckland branch should take independent action to amend its constitution in this particular direction. The executive further expressed the opinion that if individuals of the Auckland association were dissatisfied with the constitution of the New Zealand R.S.A. their proper course was to resign from its membership and form a separate organization altogether quite distinct from the New Zealand R.S.A.
