SEATS IN FRONT OF POST OFFICE

A proposal by the Works Committee’ to place seats on the footpath in Dee street immediately in front of the new Chief Post Office caused some discussion at the meeting of the City Council last night. The committee recommended that the seats be placed at the northern end of the building between the posting boxes and the private box lobby. Several councillors raised objection to the seats being placed at such a busy place, but the committee’s recommendation was adopted.
