TWO BALLOTS NEXT MONTH
It is expected that no fewer than 24,000 men will be called up for military service in two ballots which are to be gazetted next month. A ballot which is to be gazetted on August 6 will include the names of all single men remaining available for overseas service, and it will be followed on August 19 by a ballot which will call up men for service in the territorial forces.
