NEW TELEPHONE BOOKS
New telephone books will be issued throughout Southland early next month. The printing was well advanced, said the chief postmaster (Mr J. Lindsay) yesterday. The new books will replace those which have been in use now for about 12| months. It was decided some time ago as a war economy measure, to issue the books at yearly instead of at six monthly periods as had been the practice previously.
