ST. JOHN AMBULANCE

INVERCARGILL NURSING DIVISION The Invercargill Nursing Division of St. John Ambulance Brigade held its weekly meeting at headquarters, Esk street. Mrs G. M. Chapman, lady superintendent, presided. There was a good attendance of officers and members.

Practical work undertaken was the application of the Thomas’s splint, bedmaking and roller bandaging. After the completion of divisional work, Ambulance Sister C. Scott gave an interesting lecture on the effects and treatment of anti-air gas. A start has been made with a class for girls aged from 10-16 years and 69 were enrolled. Instruction was given in triangular bandaging which will be continued at headquarters at 7 p.m. each Friday.
