R. White, Blenheim. Sergeant Ronald Edward AshbyPeckham, previously reported dangerously injured, now removed from the seriously ill list; father, Mr W. G. Ashby-Peckham, Dargaville Sergeant Anzac Piripi Tamihana Lewis, R.N.Z.A.F, killed in a flying accident; father, Mr Lewis, Kaiwhata, Palmerston North. Flying Officer William Alan Foster, R.A.F., missing after an aircraft accident; father, Mr A. T. Foster, 22 Leeds street, Christchurch. Sergeant Douglas Charles Bedlington Jenkins, R.N.Z.A.F., previously reported missing, now reported by the International Red Cross as wounded and a prisoner of war; father, Mr C. C. Jenkins, Great South road, Manurewa, Auckland. SOUTHLAND CASUALTIES Corporal Wade de Clifford, the third son of Mrs M. de Clifford, of Riverton, who was injured in an accident recently in Suva, is now progressing favourably in the Suva military hospital, according to advice received by his mother. The week before the accident Corporal de Clifford played an outstanding game of football for the Army A team in Suva.

Private Mervyn Cyril Soper, of Athol, who has been wounded, is well known in Southland as a footballer. He played for the Northern District and represented Southland on a number of occasions.
