MEDICAL EXAMINATION OF MEN IN BALLOT
Of 450 men examined by medical boards in Invercargill during the past few days between 45 and 47 per cent, were passed as fit for overseas service. In'addition about another 15 per cent, were passed as fit for home defence, making a total of 60 per cent, graded 1 or 2.
Two boards sat in the city on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of last week, and on Monday and Tuesday of this week. The men examined were those drawn in the fifth pallet for territorial training.
