NO SCHOOL DOCTOR IN SOUTHLAND

‘Another injustice to Southland,” remarked the chairman of the Southland Education Board, Mr S. Rice, yesterday, when the senior inspector of schools, Mr H. D. Prichard, said he understood that there was no medical officer of schools in Southland.

When inquiries were made yesterday afternoon it was learned that there had been no school doctor in Southland since the end of last year. At the end of the year Dr M. Rippin secured a position abroad and a successor has not yet been appointed.
