SOUTHLAND CLUB CLOSES SEASON The Southland Bowling Club, the oldest bowling club in Southland, closed | its green for the 1941 season on Saturday afternoon. About 70 members and women members took part, and at the close of the afternoon’s play an interesting feature was the spider’s web of bowls, in which all took part. Mr L. H. Wildermoth, the president, referred to the fact that the club had completed its sixtieth year of existence. He also referred to the members who died during the year and all present. | stood in silence as a mark of respect.
