SINKING OF RAJPUTANA

(8.0.W.) RUGBY, April 26. According to messages from Ottawa six officers and 34 ratings were lost when the armed merchant cruiser Rajputana was torpedoed. The ship was struck twice and sank within four and a-half hours. A tribute to the high morale of the crew was paid by a senior officer when the survivors landed in Canada.
