PRESIDENT’S SON GOES TO HONG KONG

(Rec. 8 p.m.) MANILA, April 28. Mr James Roosevelt, the President’s eldest son, who is a captain in the United States Marine Corps, has gone to Hong Kong, where, it is indicated, he might remain for several days before flying to Chungking. Informed circles express the opinion that he intends to further assure China of Washington’s interest. He will visit various parts of China in order to become conversant with the situation.
