SEVERE STORM IN UNITED STATES

NEW YORK, March 2. An unusual storm disrupted transcontinental short-wave and telegraph circuits yesterday. It was considered by experts to be the most severe storm since last April and that sunspots were responsible. Many areas, including New York, were covered with a thick blanket of snow, seriously impeding traffic and causing many traffic accidents. Twenty-four deaths have been reported. Some snowdrifts in New Jersey are six feet deep.
