Opening Of Oyster Season

The Bluff oyster season will open on Saturday. The usual seasonal railway service between Bluff and Invercargill will operate from next Sunday. New Members Twenty-nine new members were enrolled at last night’s meeting of the Automobile Association (Southland). The total membership is now 4369. Patriotic Collections At the opening meeting for the year of the Georgetown Patriotic Committee last night, the treasurer, Mrs E. Sinclair, reported that the monthly collection for February produced £B5. This amount would be handed to the Southland Patriotic Council.
