PERSONAL

The Hon. Adam Hamilton, a member of the War Cabinet, arrived in Invercargill from Wellington by the express on Saturday night. He will remain in Invercargill until about the end of this week. He will complete arrangements for a visit to Southland this week of the chiefs of the three defence services and will accompany the Minister of Industries and Commerce, the Hon. D. G. Sullivan, on an inspection of Southland industries.

Major C. J. Pomeroy, who is attached to the Scottish Regiment at the Forbury territorial training camp, left for Dunedin by last night's express after spending the week-end in Invercargill on leave. Mr S. A. Gabb. income tax inspector stationed in Invercargill, left on the express last evening for Christchurch to begin military training.
