The first meeting will be open to all women and girls and will be held in the supper room, Victoria Concert Chamber, at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, ■ February 11. Mrs Knox Gilmer, a memI her of the Dominion council and DomI inion executive will address the meeting. All women are cordially urged to attend this meeting and hear what is being done to assist to organize their efforts and enable them to make the maximum contribution to the national I effort to win the war. j Immediately following the public meeting, a meeting of delegates from women’s organizations will be held. This ■ meeting is being held for the purpose | of electing a local district committee of the auxiliary. All organizations of women are urged to send delegates to this meeting as it is particularly desired that the basis of representation on the committee should be as broad as possible. Only accredited delegates can attend the meeting, and organizations should get in touch with the DeputyMayor, Town Hall, Invercargill. Each organization may nominate one woman to be elected. Nominations should be left with the Deputy-Mayor, Town Hall, Invercargill, not later than noon on February 11, 1941. The number required to be elected is seven and if more than that number are nominated an election will be held at the meeting.

The importance of getting the very best out of the efforts of all classes of the community, including women and girls, will be obvious to everybody and the Women’s War Service Auxiliary feels confident that the organized bodies of women and girls in Invercargill will not be behindhand in assisting to frame an organization which will enable this to be brought about so far as the women and girls are concerned.
