QUEENSTOWN

REGATTA CLUB The annual meeting of the Queenstown Regatta Club was held in the Garrison Hall. In the absence of the president, Mr J. C. Scott, Mr W. D. Warren was voted to the chair. There were fourteen members present. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The report stated that last year’s regatta had been very successful, sixty-eight entries having been received. Only one club was not represented from the previous year and a new club, Otago University, was welcomed to the fixture. The prize-money distributed amounted to £74. The bal-ance-sheet showed receipts as being £l4l/19/1. It was decided to hold the regatta on Easter Saturday. Four new members were elected. The following office-bearers were elected: Patrons, Sir Robert Anderson, the Hon. Adam Hamilton, Messrs John Mackenzie, Dickson Jardine and G. Cockburn; president, Mr J. C. Scott (re-elected); vice-presidents, Messrs H. C. Buckham, L. J. Lynch, W. D. Warren, Dr Wh A. Anderson and W. J. Kelly. Judges.—Outrigger events: Messrs C. M. Inglis, L. J. Lynch and R. J. Fuller; committee, Messrs C. M. Inglis, H. Tomkies, J. S. Royds, T. H. Tailentire, L. R. Lewis, J. W. Robertson, R. J. Fuller, C. Miller and R. Underwood; secretary and treasurer, Mr M. T. Robertson (re-elected); auditor, Mr A. F. Griffen (re-elected).
