WAI ANIWA
AIR GUNNER HONOURED The Waianiwa hall was filled when a social and presentation was given to Air Gunner Price. Music for dancing was supplied by the New River Dance Band. During the evening items were contributed by Miss May Dalrymple, Miss M. McNaughton, Air Gunner Pearce (Invercargill) and Air Gunner Price. Mrs A. McPherson and Miss K. Maloney acted as accompanists. Mr J. B. Steans was master of ceremonies. Mr J. Steans, the acting chairman, called on the guest of the evening to come forward and accept a gift from the gathering, with its best wishes, and stated that Air Gunner Price had been born and educated in the Waianiwa district. Air Gunner Pearce also received a small gift. Air Gunner Price replied.
