FREE FRENCH NAVAL FORCES

(Received January 12, 9 p.m.) LONDON, January 11. Vice Admiral Museher, head of the Free French Naval forces in a broadcast said: For every ship destroyed we have armed three more ships We now have 80 merchantmen opciating, of which 30 are manned by French crews. Over 30 or our warships are participating in operations. Our surface warships defend lines of communication, escort convoys and chase submarines. The Free French fleet in the first two months of their activities lost two warships, one submarine, one patrol ship and four merchantmen.
