WINTON

RECLAMATION OF WASTE MATERIAL

At a meeting of the Winton Patriotic Association, the following committee was appointed to control the scheme for the reclamation of waste in the district :—Messrs L. G. de la Perrelle (convener), W. Brandford, P. A. Bly th and R. W. North. Each neighbouring patriotic committee will be asked to appoint a representative. PARCELS FOR SOLDIERS The committee of local women, under the direction of Dr Moana Gow, has despatched to Invercargill 30 parcels for soldiers as requested by the Provincial Committee. The goods supplied locally were tinned fruit, envelopes, boot laces, handkerchiefs, razor blades, shortbread and barley sugar.
