FAREWELL FUNCTION Neighbours and friends of Mr and Mrs G. W. Paterson met to bid them farewell before their departure to Wrights Bush. Competitions were won by Mrs W. Weir (mystery parcel), G. W. Paterson (hidden article) and Miss J. Teviotdale and Mr L. McNeill (the luckj' spot waltz). Mr J. Taylor presented Mr and Mrs Paterson with a bronze log box and firescreen. On behalf of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union Mrs Stewart made a presentation to Mrs Paterson. Mr S. Paterson acted as master of ceremonies and Mr S. Poole supplied the music for dancing. Among those present were Mr and Mrs Paterson, Mr and Mrs W. H. Weir, Mr and Mrs S. McCrostie, Mr and Mrs J. McConnell, Mr and Mrs S. Poole, Mr and Mrs S. Gibb, Mr and Mrs R. Hishon, Mr and Mrs L.
