IMPRISONMENT FOR SOLICITOR

INTOXICATION CHARGE (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 1. An Onehunga solicitor, Martin James Rogers, was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment on a charge of intoxication while in charge of a car Rogers said that he had three or four drinks in Auckland during the afternoon, and then drove to Onehunga where he met three cyclists. Swerving to avoid a dog, he collided with one cyclist. The Magistrate (Mi’ F. H. Levien) said that he disbelieved the story about the dog.
