SCHOOLS’ DENTAL CLINIC YEAR’S WORK REVIEWED “The work was dislocated by unavoidable changes in the staff,” stated the report of the Gore District Schools Dental Clinic presented to the annual meeting of the clinic yesterday. “The department did its best to help the clinic. The conditions affected the clinic’s finances to some extent as fees were not expected where treatment had not been given the previous year, and the receipts fell short of the previous year’s by £17.” Mr H. C. Mac Gibbon was chairman and the following delegates were present: —Messrs R. G. Watson (Gore), A. P. McDonald (Pukerau), W. Chittock (Waikaka Valley), A. T. Newman (East Gore), A. C. Steel (Gore), A. McCleary (Waimumu) and R. N. Fraser (secretary). In moving the adoption of the report the chairman (Mr H. C. Mac Gibbon) said that the new clinic which had been erected during the year had cost £475, the clinic’s portion of the cost being £l5B. The clinic would also have to meet the cost of furnishing the waiting room, which would be between £2O and £3O. He suggested that the various school committees would be able to help the clinic to meet its commitments if they gave £2/2/- each. About 20 schools were concerned and if each gave this amount the total received would practically pay what was owing on the building. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The following officers were elected: — Chairman, MrH. C. Mac Gibbon; secretary, Mr R. N. 'Fraser; committee, Messrs A. C.-Steel, D. R. Russell, A. TNewman, J. Park, R. G. Watson and Misses A.
