COMPETITIONS IN PIPING

INVERCARGILL SOCIETY’S MEETING The annual meeting of the Invercargill Piping Competitions Society was held on Saturday night. The annual report stated that a good working directorate was formed and a successful year’s work was carried out. “We wish to thank all those who generously subscribed to the funds and so did their share in making the competitions possible,” said the report. “Perhaps the outstanding feature of the whole effort is the interest in the performance in the C and D grades.” It was reported that Mr Donald Bowman offered a cup for competition in a B grade pibroch class and a cup had been given for competition at the annual gathering.
