ECLECTIC MATCH OF GORE CLUB SUCCESS OF J. TAYLOR A good muster of members of the Gore Golf Club took part in the second round of an eclectic match played on the Croydon links on Saturday afternoon. The weather was ideal for golf and the links were in good order. J. Taylor and C. R. Barron secured the same total, and Taylor won the match on the count back. The best cards

STABLEFORD HANDICAP AT OTATARA A stableford handicap was played by members of the Invercargill Golf Club at Otatara on Saturday in calm, mild weather. The best cards were:— A Grade. —J. C. Prain, 32-5-37; U. R. Smith, 26-11-37; H. A. Wilkes, 30-5-35; J. F Field, 29-5-34; H. T. Thompson, 25-6-31; S. A. Bell, 25-5-30. Prain and Smith were joint winners. B Grade.—A. R. QUEEN’S PARK CLUB Three A grade players tied for first place in the June stroke handicap on the Queen’s Park golf links on Saturday, E.. J. Morgan being declared the winner on the count back.
