ONE BOY KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED

TRUCK OVERTURNS IN AVOIDING COLLISION (United Pi-ess Association) AUCKLAND, June 16. One boy was killed and another seriously injured in a motor accident at an intersection in Opotiki this afternoon. The victims were: KILLED Charles Joseph Donaldson, aged 7. INJURED Thomas Arthur Donaldson, aged 9. T. Donaldson, father of the boys, swung the truck he was driving sharply to the right in an attempt to avoid colliding with a car driven by J. R. Washburn, agent, of Hamilton, but the vehicle'overturned and his sons, who were with him in the cab, were thrown to the road. The younger boy was crushed by the body of the truck and killed instantly. The other was extricated, suffering from a lacerated scalp and concussion. FOOTBALLER - INJURED A fracture of his left leg was suffered by Desmond Hishon, aged 17, of Dee street, on Saturday, when playing football. He was taken to the Dee street hospital.
