SOLDIER PATIENTS NUMBER 547
INFLUENZA EPIDEMIC AT PAPAKURA (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 14. An increase to 547 occurred today in the number of soldier patients from the Papakura camp who are suffering from influenza.. The majority of these are accommodated in emergency hospitals established at the Ellerslie racecourse and the Auckland Teachers’ Training College. At the daily sick parade at the camp 204 men reported. During the day 74 fresh patients were evacuated to the city, leaving 13 in the camp hospital. At Ellerslie there were 274, at the Training College there were 175, while the Auckland Hospital and Auckland Infirmary had 73 and 25 respectively.
