MENZIES FERRY
SOLDIERS’ FAREWELLING COMMITTEE
At a meeting of Menzies Ferry settlers it was decided to form a Soldiers’ Farewell Committee and arrangements were made to form either a Patriotic Committee or a branch of the Red Cross.
Mr G. W. Stewart presided. The following committee was elected to conduct the farewells to district men on final leave:—Chairman, Mr G. W. Stewart; secretary, Miss Loma Ross; committee, Mesdames G. W. Stewart, D. P. Christie, R. Clarke, Messrs D. P. Christie, R. Clarke, J. C. Fraser and W. Gregory.
