DRAW FOR THIS WEEK The following is the draw for table tennis matches which begin this week: MONDAY Women’s A grade. —Broad Small s v. St. Mary’s (7 p.m.); Star v. United (7 p.m.); Rata a bye. Women’s B grade.—Alliance A v. Woodend (8 p.m.); St. Mary’s v. Southern (7 p.m.); Alliance B a bye. TUESDAY Men’s B grade.—Broad Small’s y. Star (7 p.m.); Southern v. St. Mary’s (7 p.m.); Begg and Co., v. Boys Brigade 0.8. (7 p.m.); Civil Service a bye. Men’s C grade.—Star v. Boy s Brigade 0.8. (8 p.m.). WEDNESDAY Men’s A grade.—Jara v. Union; Star v. St. Mary’s; Meteor v. W. S. and Co. Men’s B grade.—Woodend v. Union at Woodend. Men’s C grade.—Woodend v. Southern at Woodend. It has been decided that in the meantime, with the exception of the men’s A grade, all matches shall be the best of three games, the first and second players to meet the first and second of the opposing - team and similarly with the third and fourth players. Two doubles matches, best of three games, will also be’ played. In the men s A grade competition each player will meet each player of the opposing side, each match to be of two games. All matches to be played at the Orange Hall unless otherwise stated. MOTORCYCLING BLUFF HILL CLIMB The Southland Motor Cycle Club’s annual hill -limb, which was held on the Bluff Hill on Saturday afternoon, was a complete success in spite of the adverse weather. There were 12 entries, including four riders from Dunedin, and a large number of spectators was given a very fine exhibition of all-round motor-cycling. The feature of the day was H. J. Munro’s record-breaking dash to the top in the fast time of lmin 35 l-ssec. T. Bath also rode very well, winning the novice class in the excellent time of lmin 44 2-ssec. The Dunedin riders ran Munro very close, Ashton being in second place with the time of lmin 37 2-ssec and Shave third in lmin 39 3-ssec.

The complete results are as follows: — Novice Class.—T. Bath, 350 c.c. Triumph, 1.44 2-5 1, McFarlane, 497 c.c. Ariel, 2.1 2, Anderson, 350 c.c. Velocette 2.8 3-5 3.
