SUPPLIES OF BARLEY EXPECTED

WELLINGTON, April 28.

The Controller of Primary Industries (Mr A. H. Cockayne) advises that large supplies of barley are expected to arrive in New Plymouth about the third week in May. Further supplies are expected in Auckland about the first week in May and about three weeks later. Farmers are advised to make every effort to secure their requirements ex wharf and to provide for their requirements for some time to come.
