SUGGESTED IMPORTATION FROM AUSTRALIA (United Press Association) ASHBURTON, April 19. The Mid-Canterbury executive of the Farmers’ Union, discussing the proposal by Mr T. R. Burnett, M.P., for the importation of Australian oats for stock feed, decided to ask the Government to make a survey of the stock feed in the Dominion before allowing importation, and to grant concessions on the railage of stock to areas where feed is available, or of feed to districts where there is a scarcity.
